What's a Goofy Poofy? What's a monster ranch?
Goofy Poofys are soft, one-of-a-kind plush monsters. Each one is truly unique and different from any other. At the monster ranch, we breed these plush monsters for you to adopt. And because we don’t breed them until you order them, you pick out the two monsters that have the qualities you’d most like to see in your own monster.


Where are the monsters to pick from?
The stud monsters that are available for breeding right now can be found on the "meet the monsters" page. Also, we’re still gathering together a few more and letting them become accustomed to their new environment. Well-adjusted monsters are happy monsters.


So...I pick two monsters, and then what?
After you select two stud monsters, we carefully introduce them to one another and give them space. Generally, they produce a monster egg in a few days. After about a week, the egg hatches and we send the bundle of joy to you – your very own monster!


Can I pick the ears/eyes/skin color/etc?
We’re working on decoding monster genetics, so we hope to offer this service some day. However, right now – much as with human babies – the new monster is a surprise to everyone. A combination of the two parents, of course, but for example:

• pointy ears + pointy ears = pointy ears
• pointy ears + round ears = pointy ears, or round ears, or one of each?
• red monster + red monster = red monster
• red monster + blue monster = purple monster, or blue monster with red spots, or red monster with blue spots?

How big are the monsters? What are they made of?
Each monster is about 14 inches high (not including feet or ears) and 12 inches wide. All monsters are made of fleece, cotton fabric, buttons sewn with embroidery floss, a zipper, and polyfil.

I want my very own monster! How much does it cost to adopt?
We’re pleased to offer your very own, one-of-a-kind monster for an adoption fee of $40 USD. This covers breeding, egg handling and hatching, a full physical, and immunizations.


I like one of the stud monsters, can I adopt him or her?
Occasionally we will retire stud monsters and make them available, but unfortunately we can’t regularly put stud monsters up for adoption - our breeding program would soon be nonexistent!
